Sakhir : Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” is preparing to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, taking place from April 10-13 as the fourth round of this year’s Formula 1 season, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the World Championship.
This year’s race is held under the slogan “The Desert Never Sleeps,” reflecting the thrilling atmosphere of a weekend filled with international racing and family-friendly entertainment, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position on the global sporting map and its success in organising one of the region’s premier annual events.
In addition to Formula 1, BIC will also host other international races, including Round 2 of the FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 Championships, and Round 5 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East, offering a comprehensive experience for motorsport fans of all ages.
BIC has also organised a wide variety of entertainment activities. On Friday, April 11, R3HAB will perform, followed by international artist Peggy Gou on Saturday, April 12, and a closing concert by global music producer Axwell on Sunday, April 13. The weekend will also feature family attractions, roaming shows, and carnival-themed entertainment in the fan zone.
This year’s highlights include the popular giant Ferris Wheel, performances for children including the character “Sonic,” and a broad selection of activities to ensure a complete entertainment experience for all family members.
As part of its humanitarian efforts, BIC has launched a charity auction in support of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, in collaboration with several Formula 1 teams. The auction runs until race day, April 13, via the Mazad app. It features rare memorabilia, including Falcon Gold tickets for two to Singapore, Shanghai, or Guangzhou; Boeing 787-9 Gulf Air classic livery models; a 2024 Bahrain race number plate signed by all F1 drivers; a Mercedes car design print signed by Lewis Hamilton; artwork signed by George Russell; race gloves signed by Valtteri Bottas; F1 commentary notes by Sky Sports’ David Croft; and a Bahrain Darts Masters 2024 dartboard signed by top players including world champion Luke Littler.
These activities underscore the Grand Prix’s status as a global sporting event that reflects the Kingdom’s modern image and embodies Bahraini society’s passion for motorsport, while contributing to sports tourism and attracting visitors from around the world.
