Bahrain : The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) honored the winners of Bahrain Food Excellence Award 2021 in its third edition, which is dedicated to food and drink products manufactured locally and sold within the Kingdom.
The award consists of three categories: Organisations, Emerging Enterprises and Productive Families. Amalfi, Vedge Café, E momken won the award for each category respectively.
BCCI Chairman Samir Nass affirmed the significance of the award in enhancing the food sector and attracting local and foreign investments, stressing the food industry’s importance in increasing food security in Bahrain.
He affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness in supporting initiatives in all sectors, especially food industry, as one of the promising sectors that will contribute in improving Bahrain economy.
“Paying attention to the quality of the national product and keeping it updated to international quality requirements will contribute in enhancing Bahrain commercial reputation and promote these products globally. As well as attracting local and international investors,” Nass said.
BCCI chairman expressed his appreciation to those who organised the event and the 49 food establishments who worked hard on the quality of their local products and reflected the aspirations to reach the world by fulfilling international requirements.
“The number of participants in the award reached 49, 9 of whom were qualified to the award. The first place winner will get the chance to place the award’s logo on their products for two years,” Food Wealth Committee Chairman Khalid Al-Amin added.
It is noteworthy that the Organisations category’s prize is 5000 BD, while Emerging Enterprises and Productive Families categories’ prize is 2500 BD.
