Manama : Bahrain and Kuwait Bank (BBK) renewed its partnership with Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), reaffirming its support for developing Bahraini youth capabilities and enhancing their contribution to national development.
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, said the continued partnership with BBK reflects the importance of cooperation with leading national institutions in supporting Youth City 2030 programmes and expanding their developmental impact.
She said the partnership has enriched the initiative’s programmes over the years by helping develop young talent, strengthen skills and prepare participants for future opportunities. She added that the collaboration represents a successful model of public-private sector partnership in supporting Bahraini youth.
Yaser Al Sharifi, Group Chief Executive Officer of BBK, said the bank remains committed to empowering Bahraini youth through its strategic partnership with the ministry and Youth City 2030. He added that the initiative provides young people with opportunities to acquire practical skills, develop their ideas and strengthen entrepreneurship, supporting national efforts to prepare qualified national talent for the labour market.
The 15th edition of Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with strategic partner Tamkeen, offers specialised training programmes through five centres covering science and technology, arts and culture, leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, and sports and health. The initiative aims to equip Bahraini youth with the skills and experience required for future careers and labour market needs.
