Manama : Bahrain won gold and bronze medals at the West Asia Table Tennis Championship, with the boys’ under 13 team claiming gold in the team event after defeating Iraq 3-2 in the final.
The girls’ under 19 team secured bronze, marking the second medal for Bahrain’s girls’ teams at the championship.
The boys’ under 13 team topped its preliminary group after defeating Saudi Arabia 3-1 and the UAE 3-0, before beating Qatar 3-1 in the semi final.
Bahrain had earlier won gold in the senior, boys’ under 11 and girls’ under 13 events, as well as silver in the boys’ under 15 event.
