Manama : The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), the home of motor sports in the Middle East, will host the “Time Attack” competitions organised by the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) for the first time, as part of the National Race Day next Friday.
The race will be held in cooperation with the BIC racing committee, the Bahrain Motorcycle commission, and the Autocross and Drift Committee.
The technical inspection ceremony will be held from 7:30 until 8:30 am next Friday, after which the competitions will begin.
The Time Attack competitions coincide with the first round of the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship, where the number of motorcycles registered at the start of the new season reached 15 bikes in the 1000 cc and 600 cc categories. As for Time Attack, the number of racers who registered reached 50 cars divided into six categories.
The Time Attack Challenge is being held for the first time by the BMF to attract the largest number of motorsport fans and enthusiasts to compete in accordance with the approved international standards and regulations, in the presence of all approved safety elements. The BMF expects the championship to witness wide participation and strong competition in all categories.
