Manama : The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks targeting civilian and vital facilities in the State of Kuwait, describing them as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security and stability, a direct threat to the safety of its citizens and residents, a serious breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a blatant violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the high level of readiness and efficiency of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces in intercepting and destroying several hostile drones. The ministry reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its full support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity.
The ministry also stressed the urgent need for the immediate and comprehensive cessation of the unjustified attacks carried out by Iran and its proxies, emphasising that ending threats to international maritime navigation is essential to strengthening regional and international security and stability.
