Bahrain announced another COVID-19 death of a 67-year-old male Bahraini national, taking the death toll in the country to 12.
The patient was suffering from underlying and chronic health issues, according to the MOH. This is the 2nd death from COVID-19 in the past 5 hours.
The Ministry of Health expressed its heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family at this difficult time.
The patient, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team, the MOH said on Twitter.
Bahrain currently has 3,931 active cases and 2,640 recoveries, according to the government statics.
