India : Doctors in India removed more than 60 steel spoon handles from the stomach of a man who they believe had become addicted to swallowing cutlery. The patient, identified only by his first name, Vijay, was rushed to a hospital at the weekend after complaining of excruciating stomach pain and underwent emergency surgery to remove the metal objects. Bahrain :Pope Francis will in November visit Bahrain, home to the biggest Catholic church in the Arabian peninsula, the Vatican said. “Accepting the invitation of the civil and ecclesial authorities, Pope Francis will make the announced apostolic journey to Bahrain from November 3 to 6 this year,” the Vatican said in a short statement. California : Apple is dropping plans to increase production of its new iPhones this year after an anticipated surge in demand failed to materialize, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
