Bahrain : The resurfacing work on Khalifa AL-Kabeer Highway in Muharraq necessitates closure of one and two lanes on stages in both directions near the Coast Guard. The closure will be every night from 11:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m, except weekend nights, starting  tomorrow October 4, for 10 nights. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for safety of all, said the Ministry of works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning, which coordinated the closure  with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior.

has come under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after a cruise rave party was busted on Saturday night off the Mumbai coast. According to India Today, the drugs raid was carried out by NCB officials onboard the Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship and several people were taken in for questioning. Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of NCB, confirmed on Sunday that Aryan Khan is being questioned.  However, Aryan has not been booked on any charges or arrested. Muscat : Authorities in Oman urged thousands of residents in coastal areas to leave their homes and head to emergency shelters on Saturday as the Gulf state braced for tropical storm Shaheen to intensify into a category 1 tropical cyclone.  The Omani National Committee for Emergency Management called for the evacuations in the northern states of Barka and Saham and coastal areas including parts of the capital, Muscat, where Shaheen is forecast to strike on Sunday, bringing high winds and heavy rain. Washington : Positive clinical trial results for Merck & Co’s (MRK.N) experimental antiviral COVID-19 pill reverberated through the healthcare sector on Friday, sending the drugmaker’s stock price soaring while denting high-flying shares of vaccine companies and makers of other coronavirus therapies. Bahrain : Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, said that the health sector in the kingdom is growing steadily, noting that the number of health institutions has increased by 18% between 2017 and 2020.
