Bahrain : The fifth edition of the Smart City Summit will open on October 10 at the Gulf Convention Center under the patronage of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf. The summit will see the participation of 250 individuals from the public and private sectors, including engineers, consultants and specialists. The Ministry of Interior, the Information and eGovernment Authority and the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning will also take part in the event. Colorado: Amazon.com Inc has been accused of violating Colorado state law by failing to pay warehouse workers for time spent undergoing COVID-19 screenings before clocking in at work. Jennifer Vincenzetti, who worked at two Amazon warehouses in Colorado Springs, filed a proposed class action in Colorado federal court on Tuesday claiming the company made workers wait in long lines to answer questions and have their temperatures checked, Reuters reported. Dubai : The ruler of Dubai authorised the hacking of his former wife and her lawyers’ phones with multimillion-pound spyware during a legal battle over their two children, the UK High Court has found. Bahrain : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree 101/2021, re-appointing His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa as Southern Governor for a four-year term.
