Bahrain : Ministry of Industry and commerce and Tourism and National bureau for revenue inspectors visited 134 outlets in the Diplomatic area, Gudabiya Avenue, Adliya, Juffair, Manama suq, Jid Ali, Riffa, Saar, Arad, Busaiteen, Galali, Muharraq and other parts of Bahrain. Inspectors checked the readiness of shopping outlets to apply 10pc VAT, adjusted from 5pc. The inspectors  reported violations which can amount of VAT evasion.

Seoul :  South Korea’s exports expanded at their fastest pace in 11 years in 2021, with the total export value reaching a record high, supported by post-pandemic recoveries in global demand. For the full year, exports rose 25.8% from a year earlier to $644.54 billion, trade ministry data showed on Saturday, the fastest pace since 2010. Srinagar : A stampede at a popular Hindu shrine in Indian-controlled Kashmir killed at least 12 people and injured 13 others on New Year’s Day, officials said.
