Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has sought bail on the ground that the trial may not begin soon. Deshmukh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on November 1 last year in connection with a money laundering case. The Special court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has issued notice to ED and asked the agency to file a reply to the bail application filed by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader.

Paris : Formula One signed a seven-year contract extension Thursday with the Singapore Grand Prix. F1 said in a statement that a deal to continue racing at the Marina Bay street circuit until 2028 was agreed with the Singapore GP and Singapore’s tourism board. Singapore held F1′s first night race in 2008 and the venue has proved popular with fans from around the world. The past two editions of the race were cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
