The latest update reveals as of now there are 1,162 active cases of which 1,160 are stable while two patients are critical. Over 1,343 people have been discharged and this is definitely a great number. This success has been achieved due to the collaboration of everyone at the national level. Most of the cases reported have been of people who have had direct contact with family therefore let’s try and avoid family gathering and limit them. We urge everyone to keep up with their personal hygiene, wash hands, use sanitizers and disinfect surfaces whether at home or in the office…
“During the month of Ramadan which is for family, this time is different as we are facing coronavirus so we need to change our social behaviour. In terms of the plasma treatment, we have received the second batch of donors. I would like to confirm that this has been effective. We take the blood sample from the donor at the lab and we take the antibodies within the blood. These antibodies would help assist infected patients in decreasing respiratory inflammation. A number of tasks have been assigned to certain police officers and they work directly in coordination with the governors. To confirm, these are precautionary measures taken to protect the community and to protect expat workers. Workers who were transferred weren’t infected but they were just precautionary measures to decrease the density and we will continue to follow up all the medical measure in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19”…
“A new website ‘mall.bh’ has been launched which will provide consumers and companies to purchase a wide range of products through this website. Over 100 companies have joined the website which has been completely designed within the Ministry. Bahrain has limited Iftar gatherings to close family members. Regular Ramadan gatherings, Public Iftar events, Gabga and the distribution of Ramadan food in public will not be allowed as it will be a good way to spread coronavirus (COVID-19). Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh said citizens and expatriates should support national efforts to combat the pandemic, adding that –“each individual is responsible for mitigating the virus.”

Cricket Australia (CA) Chief Executive Kevin Roberts has said deep staff pay cuts were necessary to shore up the game’s finances amid the coronavirus shutdown, despite the governing body holding tens of millions of dollars in stock investments, according to Reuters.
