71 new active cases have been registered in Bahrain, of which 48 are expatriate workers, 16 are contacts of active cases and 7 are travel-related. The 48 new active cases among expatriate workers were detected following the conclusion of 3,510 COVID-19 tests during the past 24 hours. Bahrain has announced the death of a 36-year-old expatriate male, a registered active case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) suffering from underlying and chronic health problems. The deceased male had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team. Bahrain has so far tested 100031 people. The Ministry highlighted that, excluding one case, all other active COVID-19 cases remain stable and all patients continue to receive treatment from the Kingdom’s highly trained medical professionals following guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
