Saudi Arabia has recorded 3,334 violations in a single day during the nationwide curfew to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Riyadh tops with 1,845 violations, accompanied by the holy city of Mecca with 281 and the Eastern Province with 277, Sabq reported. Oman has reported 157 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total cases in the country to 5,186, according to the MOH. The new cases include 81 Omanis and 76 Non-Omanis. Oman also announced the death of a 48-year-old resident, who was infected with coronavirus, bringing the total fatalities in the sultanate to 22, according to ONA. UAE has announced 796 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total cases to 22,627 and there are 14,482 active cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). MoHAP also reported 603 recoveries from COVID-19, taking the total recoveries in the country to 7,931. MoHAP noted 4 new COVID-19 related deaths, taking the death toll to 214. The new cases were detected after conducting more than 35,735 additional COVID-19 tests among UAE citizens and residents over the past few days. Bahrain has 92 new COVID-19 cases, of which 76 are among expatriate workers and 13 are contacts of active cases and 3 are travel-related, this takes the total cases in the kingdom to 6,747 and there are 3,973 active cases of which 3 are critical and the rest stable, according to the Ministry of Health. India’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has developed an online dashboard to monitor and facilitate the movement of migrant workers and their contact-tracing during the lockdown. “The central government has already allowed the movement of migrant workers by buses and Shramik Special trains to enable them to travel to their native places.” said Mr. Ajay Bhalla, Home Secretary of India. The Kuwait Ministry of Health announced 942 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 13,802, while 11 deaths were reported as well, bringing the fatalities’ toll up to 107.
