Saudi Arabia has reported 2,399 new coronavirus infections during the past 24 hours, raising the total to 72,560, according to the health ministry. There were 2,284 recoveries on Thursday, taking the overall number of recovered cases to 43,520, according to the MOH. Meanwhile, 11 more people succumbed to the deadly virus taking the total number of COVID-19 related fatalities in the Kingdom to 390. Riyadh topped the list of new cases with 742 infections, followed by Makkah (611), Jeddah (474), Dammam (136), Khobar (120), Al Jubail (82) and Madinah (69). Bahrain has reported 291 new COVID-19 cases, of which 188 are among expatriate workers and 103 are contacts of active cases. These new cases bring up the total cases in the kingdom to 9,093 and there are 4,499 active cases of which 8 are critical and the rest stable, according to the Ministry of Health. Muslims performed blessed Eid Al-Fitr prayers at the Mecca Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque today this morning, complying with mandatory health precautions in terms of numbers and measures followed in other prayers. Oman has reported its highest daily increase in coronavirus cases of 513 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total cases in the sultanate to 7,770. Most of the newly admitted cases are from foreigners, which is 334 and the rest 179 from Omanis, according to the Ministry of Health.
