Hypermarkets, supermarkets, cold stores, groceries, fish shops, bakery, gas stations, private hospital and ATMs are exempted from the above restrictions. Bahrain has announced the closure of indoor gyms, beaches, swimming pools, sports halls and schools to tackle the recent spike in Covid-19 cases. The decisions will be implemented from midnight 27th May to 10th June 2021. An Indian couple reportedly chartered a plane and held a mid-air wedding with more than 160 guests in an effort to escape coronavirus restrictions. The Civil Aviation Affairs on Sunday announced the suspension of entry for travellers arriving from red list countries, namely; India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, on all flights starting Monday, 24 May 2021. Bahraini citizens and residency visa holders are not subject to the suspension but will have to present an approved PCR test certificate conducted no more than 48 hours prior to boarding and undertake another PCR test on arrival and on the tenth day of stay.
