Manama: Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh received Arwa Sayyar and Sana Qambar, who are in charge of a project aimed at enhancing services at the psychiatric hospital. The meeting focused on the taskforce’s plans to improve the delivery of services, and provide facilities at the hospital, including an indoor walkway and an outdoor café. The minister stressed the importance of initiatives spearheaded by civil society institutions and their donations which reflect their dedication and community responsibility. She praised initiatives that reflect community partnership between the ministry and the private sector, stressing keenness to build bridges with all institutions.

Manama: The Capital Governorate Chief Prosecutor said the Public Prosecution has completed investigation into an incident in which a visitor of Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) is facing charges of physically aggressing two doctors and insulting them and a police officer. The Public Prosecution received a tip-off from the Capital Governorate Police Directorate on the incident. London: British Airways’ new boss said vaccinated people should be allowed to travel without restriction and non-vaccinated people with a negative COVID-19 test, as he set out his ideas for a travel restart a month before the UK government finalises its plans. Holidays will not be allowed until May 17 at the earliest, the government has said, but before that, on April 12, Britain will announce how and when non-essential travel into and out of the country can resume, Reuters reports. Sean Doyle, appointed BA’s chief executive last October, called on Britain to work with other governments to allow vaccines and health…

Manama: The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has announced the withdrawal and suspension of registration of the pharmaceutical product “PROTON 40mg E.C TABLET – PROTON 20mg E.C TABLET”, produced by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Corporation (SPIMACO). The move is based on the warning issued by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) on March 12, 2021. The NHRA indicated said that it has withdrawn the medicine from the Kingdom, and suspended its registration because it does not match the original product. The NHRA recommended the health authorities to withdraw the product as soon as it is available to them, calling…
