Manama : As part of efforts to improve traffic flow and enhance road safety on key highways, the General Directorate of Traffic announced that, starting September 1, King Hamad Highway will be added to the list of roads where heavy vehicles (weighing over 3 tonnes) are prohibited during peak hours, from 6:30 to 8:00 A.M. and from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Manama : The Ministry of Labour has announced the opening of registration for the 40th edition of the national ceremony honouring outstanding Bahraini workers in the private sector. The event, held annually under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, is scheduled to take place in December. Manama : The Supreme Council for Women has opened applications for the fifth edition of the “Imtiaz” Initiative, inviting Bahraini female entrepreneurs to showcase their projects and success stories. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,425 inspection campaigns and visits from July 27 to August 2, which resulted in the detention of 14 violating and irregular workers, while 106 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring several violations related to the provisions of several regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations.
