Manama : During a recent visit to the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation and Detention Centre, some legal researchers were briefed about services and facilities provided to inmates and detainees, along with their rights stipulated by the law. The services are part of efforts to reintegrate inmates into society. The visit was organised as part of a training programme by the Public Prosecution to inform the participants on workflow to help them gain the required skills. The researchers were also informed about healthcare and treatment services and handicraft training provided to inmates.

Dallas : A federal judge on Friday sentenced a white supremacist to 90 consecutive life terms in prison for a 2019 shooting in which he killed 23 people and wounded 22 others at a Texas Walmart while targeting Hispanics, according to court records and prosecutors. Mexico City : Two workers died and another remained missing after a raging fire broke out early on Friday morning at an offshore platform run by Mexican state oil company Pemex just off the southern edge of the Gulf of Mexico.
