Manama : Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma’a, opened at Exhibition World Bahrain today the Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX 2023). New York : Bahrain and Nauru signed a joint statement on establishing diplomatic relations based on the mutual desire to develop peaceful and cooperative relations, according to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN) and the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961. The statement was signed by Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Rowaiei, the Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the UN in New York and Ambassador Margo Deiye, the delegate Permanent Mission of Nauru to the UN in New York.

India : Ethnic and sectarian violence that rocked India’s north-eastern Manipur state this week has taken the lives of at least 54 people. The state is under a round-the-clock communication and security lockdown following widespread arson and attacks by Christian-majority Kukis and Hindu-majority Meitei, the two dominant ethnic groups in the remote hilly region.
