The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) announced that registration is now open for the second batch of participants in the Technical Development Program, which aims to support Bahraini job seekers and university graduates in specialized ICT fields and refine their skills. The program will also help the trainees gain employment in either the public or the private sector. Manama: The International and Interpol Affairs at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested two international fugitives wanted by a friendly country. Red Notices were issued against them by the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) over two separate murder cases. The arrest was part of international crime-fighting cooperation and coordination. The Directorate said that per law enforcement and after coordination with the Public Prosecution, the two were handed over to the security authorities of the concerned country.
Budapest: Defending champion Tobi Amusan of Nigeria breezed into the women’s 110 metres hurdles semi-finals on Tuesday, less than a week after having a provisional suspension on suspicion of doping rules violations lifted. Amusan was not seriously challenged in her heat which she won in 12.48 seconds, dpa reported. Shaikh Hisham bin Abdurahman Al Khalifa, Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said that more than 50,000 e-passports have been issued for citizens since its launch in March. He hailed the Passports Directorate’s affiliates’ efforts to cross the monthly passports issuing average. He also thanked citizens for their cooperation, stressing the importance of following the rules of the e-passport while applying.
