Beijing : Nine people are missing in central China after a landslide sparked by heavy rains amid flooding and searing temperatures across much of the country, authorities said Sunday. Five people were rescued from under the rubble at a highway construction site in the central province of Hubei, where the accident occurred on Saturday. New York : A scooter-riding gunman killed an 87-year-old man and wounded three others in a string of random shootings that stretched across two New York City boroughs, police said Saturday. A 25-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and his identity was not revealed by police, Assistant Police Chief Joseph Kenny said at a news conference. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and promulgated Law 11/2023. The law ratified the agreement between Bahrain and Turkmenistan regarding air services, following its approval by Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The agreement, attached to this law, was signed in Manama on February 22, 2023. The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of the law, which takes effect the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
