Manama : The recovery programme to assist drug addicts, conducted by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, has won a bronze medal in the health category for the MENA region for the Stevie International Award. Manama : Following the directives of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the distribution of 6,800 housing services to citizens, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is continuing procedures to distribute housing services in Salman City, East Hidd City, and East Sitra City projects. Kuwait : His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, will take a constitutional oath at a National Assembly’s special session, as the 17th Amir of Kuwait. Speaker Ahmad Al Saadoun called for the special session upon the request of the government in line with article 60 of the constitution. The special session comes in line with article 72 of the National Assembly statute, which called for a special session upon the request of the government or 10 members of the parliament, stating the reason for the session within a period of 48 hours.
Manama : The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and Polytechnic announced that applications are now open for enterprises looking to benefit from its recently launched Apprenticeship Programme. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Decree (110) of 2023, naming the ministry and minister responsible for implementing Decree-Law (20) of 2002 with respect to the Regulation of Fishing, Exploitation and Protection of Marine Wealth, based on a proposal by the Prime Minister, and following the Cabinet’s approval. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree (111) of 2023, ratifying the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Governance Charter, based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet. The MGI charter, annexed to this decree, was approved on October 26, 2022. The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this decree, which comes into effect the day following its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
