Manama :  The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed agreements to construct 137 new housing units in Salman City, in partnership with Delmon Gate, Almoayyed Contracting Group, Naseej Real Estate, and First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company.  The projects fall under the Government Land Development Rights Programme in partnership with the private sector. Under the agreements, Naseej Real Estate and Almoayyed Contracting will build 24 units, Delmon Gate will construct 69 units, and First Bahrain will implement 44 units as part of the ongoing programmes. Kosice : Two trains collided in eastern Slovakia on Monday, derailing an engine and a carriage and injuring at least 66 people, emergency medical services and police said. There were no reports of deaths in the crash, which police said happened in front of a tunnel near the village of Jablonov nad Turnou, about 55 km (34 miles) west of the eastern Slovak region’s main city Kosice. Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates has allocated USD 10 million to boost community resilience to natural disasters across Asia and the Pacific. Launched through the UAE Aid Agency, the initiative will support Emirates Nature-WWF, which will work alongside World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to implement the “Community Resilience to Nature Disasters Program”. Mexico City : Heavy rainfall in Mexico has left at least 27 people dead and more missing, authorities said on Friday, as downpours triggered several landslides, cut off power in some municipalities and caused rivers to burst their banks. Shandong : China successfully launched its Gravity-1 carrier rocket from waters off the coast of Haiyang in Shandong Province, east China. The rocket lifted off at 10:20 a.m. (Beijing time), placing three satellites into their designated orbits. The offshore launch was conducted by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center and carried a wide-field satellite along with two experimental satellites.
