BIA achieves ACI Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation, reinforcing commitment to inclusive travel
Manama : The Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has achieved the prestigious Level 1 accreditation in the ACI Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation programme, based on existing international best practices and recommendations. The accreditation is a result of BIA’s commitment to accessibility through its strategy, policies and initiatives that prioritise the safety, well-being and inclusivity of passengers and visitors with disabilities. The accreditation, valid for the next three years, is in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the 2019 ACI World Annual General Assembly resolution, and international best practices and recommendations. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today ratified and promulgated Law (26) of 2023 endorsing the Air Services agreement signed between the governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Chile, following its approval by the Shura Council and the Representatives Council. According to the law, the agreement, concluded on February 26, 2023, has been ratified. The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this law, which comes into effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.

Manama : The Kingdom of Bahrain’s economy grew by 2.5% YoY in real terms in the third quarter of 2023, according to preliminary data of the Information and eGovernment Authority, driven primarily by the Non-oil sector growing at 4.5% YoY during the quarter.
