Antalya : Ahmed Al Salloom, member of the Council of Representatives, has been re-elected as Vice-President of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) and Chairman of its Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, on the sidelines of the meeting of the APA Executive Council in Türkiye. MP Al Salloum’s re-election is in recognition of his efforts and contributions to developing parliamentary work, and his experience in the legislative and economic fields.
Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received an invitation from His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar to attend the 44th session of the GCC Supreme Council of the leaders of the Council’s member states. Manila : Bahraini champion, Moussa Karish, has shined in the 2023 Asia Triathlon Duathlon Championships at New Clark City Sports Complex in the Philippines, after clinching the silver medal of the men’s elite category, topping Arab participants. Karich won the silver medal after clocking 1:54:49, behind Australian Samuel Mileham who finished the race in 1:53:07. The exploit of Moussa Karish, who is among the leading Arab triathletes, adds to the landmark continental and international achievements of the Bahrain triathlon team.

Kuwait, : A force of Kuwait’s 25th Commando Brigade, known as “Maghaweer 25”, has left for Pakistan to partake in military exercises, codenamed Fajr Al Sharq 5 (Dawn of the East 5), due next week, according to the country’s Defence Ministry. The two-week drills are meant to share expertise in research, inspection and counterterror, secure vital facilities, handle explosives and carry out medical evacuations, the ministry said. Kuwait’s participation in Pakistan-hosted exercises comes within the framework of promoting and bolstering joint military cooperation with all sisterly and friendly countries, it added.
