Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Dr. S. Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of India.  The two officials discussed the two countries’ efforts to strengthen cooperation in all sectors, including economic, trade, investment, education, culture, health, food security, renewable energy, and climate change. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,198 inspection campaigns and visits, on June 9-22, which resulted in the detention of 90 violating and irregular workers, while 153 violators were deported.The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring violations related to the provisions of several regulating laws, especially the LMRA and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations. Tehran : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Bakhromjon Aloyev, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) ministerial meeting. The meeting discussed Bahrain-Uzbekistan relations and means to enhance cooperation in various domains. Manama : The General Command of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that registration is open for civilians (Male and Female) to volunteer to join the Reserve Force. Relatives of the military and civilian staff and retirees of the BDF and the National Guard are eligible to register. Changsha : Eight people are missing after a landslide in central China’s Hunan Province early Sunday, local authorities said. The landslide happened in Douxi Village, Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County of Huaihua City, and was reported to the county’s emergency response centre at around 4:00 am Sunday. It led to the collapse of four houses. All other people at the site have been relocated to safe areas, and rescue work is underway. The county has been hit by heavy rain.
