Manama : The Ministry of Works successfully passed an external audit for quality system control, to renew its ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Certificate. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, the Minister of Works, commended the Quality Department staff and all employees for their continuous efforts in improving operations and enhancing work quality. The ministry’s Undersecretary Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said the achievement was the result of the cooperation of all sectors in the ministry and the commitment to achieve set goals.

Manama : Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, has stated that 125,000 copies of e-passports have been issued since the launch of the service under the patronage of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa in March 2023. Mogadishu : The Somali National Army and the international partners killed 39 Al-Shabaab militants in planned operations of ground and air strike in Baqdaad and Baldooska areas in Afgoye district of the Lower Shabelle region. The operation came after the army found information regarding the Al-Shabaab militants who were grouping to attack the Somali people. The operations in Baldooska area killed 24 militants and 15 others were killed in Baqdaad area. Manama : The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces the offering of uncut banknote sheets for the denomination of Bahraini Dinar 1 and Bahraini Dinar ½ for sale. Each uncut sheet of BD1 denomination consists of 45 banknotes, and the BD½ denomination consists of 40 banknotes. The uncut sheets can be purchased from the Currency Issue Directorate at the Central Bank of Bahrain, located in the Diplomatic Area effective Wednesday, March 20, by booking an appointment through the official website www.cbb.gov.bh. The price per sheet is BD55 for the BD1 denomination and BD30 for the BD½ denomination.
