Manama : Al Hilal Manama Central organised a free medical camp in partnership with the Embassy of Nepal and the Nepali Club Bahrain, for the Nepalese community in Bahrain at Manama Central on Friday 21 February. Kabul : At least 21 people from two families died in floods that swept through Farah province in western Afghanistan, according to Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qaniee on Tuesday. Abdul Mateen Qani, Spokesman for the Interior Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said that women and children were among the victims, while five others were injured. Bangkok : At least 18 people were killed and 23 injured in eastern Thailand on Wednesday after the brakes failed on a tour bus and it rolled upside down into a ditch. “It was a downhill road and the brakes failed, and the driver lost control of the vehicle before it overturned,” said Colonel Sophon Phramaneehe, adding that those who died were adults on a study trip. There were 49 people on the bus, all Thai, including the driver, the police official said.

Anseong-Si : A bridge collapsed at an expressway construction site in Anseong, South Korea on Tuesday, killing four workers and injuring six others, authorities said. The accident occurred around 9:50 am in the city some 65 kilometres south of Seoul during construction on a section of the Seoul-Sejong expressway. Several slabs placed on a pier fell to the ground, knocking off or burying 10 people working at the site.
