Riyadh : Bahrain secured first place in the Prince Sultan bin Salman Quran Award for Children with Disabilities, with Ibrahim Othman Al Yafie winning the top prize for the second consecutive year. The 29th edition of the award was held in Riyadh under the patronage of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Disabled Children’s Association. Cairo : Eight people were killed and 12 others injured in a collision between a train and a passenger vehicle in Ismailia governorate, east of Cairo. Egypt’s Ministry of Health stated that 13 ambulances were dispatched to transport the injured to hospital. The Railway Authority indicated that the accident occurred due to the vehicle crossing from an unauthorised location, leading to casualties. Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, visited the site to follow up on the response measures.
