The Royal Thai Embassy in Bahrain facilitated the repatriation of over 240 Thai nationals. According to the Embassy, the returnees faced unemployment or were employed in saloons, restaurants and spas which were affected due to the pandemic. H.E. Thanis Na Songkhla, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and Kanita Sapphaisal, the Head of Consular Affairs of Thailand and other Thai Embassy staff helped with the facilitation of distressed Thai nationals. An Indian National has been granted special permission to return to India after having being diagnosed with an infection. Are Anjaiah hailing from Andhra Pradesh earlier this month was diagnosed with a deep fungal infection and had been referred for further specialist treatment.
