Saudi Arabia on Tuesday announced the application of new standards in government and private hospitals to confront the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Saudi Gazette, the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) said that a new list of “updated” criteria to combat the virus will be implemented. “The evaluation of hospitals under the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the private sector will begin this week. A fire in a hospital treating coronavirus patients in Russia claimed the lives of five patients and forced the evacuation of 150 people, state news agencies reported. The Oman Ministry of Health reports 148 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,721. 33 of the new cases are Omanis, while the other 115 are Non-Omanis. All mosques in Iran will reopen on Tuesday, a further step in the government’s plans to ease restrictions which aimed to contain the spread of the new coronavirus, the official IRIB news agency reported.
