Abu Dhabi: The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the brotherly United Arab Emirates, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, attended the opening ceremony of the Dubai Expo 2020, hosted by the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.
The Ambassador commended the high-level distinction that the ceremony offered, highlighting that the UAE’s hosting of this exceptional event reflects the sincere efforts and constant endeavours undertaken by the UAE, its leadership and people, to organise this global event, which also encompassed its innovation and creativity that embodies development and openness to the world.
The Ambassador also visited the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion participating in Expo 2020 Dubai, entitled “Density Weaves Opportunities”, praising its overall architectural design and its incorporation of aluminium, which represents one of the largest exports of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He was also briefed about the programmes accompanying the pavilion and the role of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in enriching the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, stressing that the Kingdom’s participation is important in this COVID-19 recovery period, as it is followed by opportunities to make civilisational achievements.
