Paris : French coastguards have recovered the bodies of four migrants who died overnight while attempting to reach Britain after their boat capsized in the English Channel.
A spokesperson for the French coastguards said that a total of 67 people were on board the boat off the coast of Boulogne-sur-Mer in northern France. Sixty-three individuals were rescued in an operation involving four ships and a helicopter.
Several thousand people have reached Britain this year in overloaded small boats, typically flimsy rubber dinghies, which are at high risk of capsizing during attempts to reach British shores.
