Dubai : : The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated in the four-day Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme ‘Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship’.
BTEA’s participation was part of the Bahraini pavilion, alongside 28 leading exhibitors from various sectors of the tourism industry, including airlines, and hospitality establishments from Bahrain. Additionally, the event featured thousands of exhibitors representing 155 countries.
During the event, BTEA showcased a selection of Bahrain’s most prominent tourist attractions, emphasising the unique blend of cultural heritage and modernity that the kingdom offers.
The authority highlighted the diverse range of tourist packages and experiences available for booking, as well as interactive AR presentations that allowed visitors to the pavilion to immerse themselves in Bahrain’s traditional hospitality, explore its distinctive destinations and landmarks, and experience its folklore, cuisine, architecture, and fashion, all of which contribute to the rich tapestry of Bahraini identity.
Sarah Buhijji, the CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, expressed her enthusiasm for participating in this year’s Arabian Travel Market, highlighting its significance in promoting Bahrain as a premier tourism destination on the global stage and emphasising the opportunity to engage directly with key markets outlined in Bahrain’s tourism strategy for the years 2022-2026.
“We are confident that this participation will provide our private sector partners with favorable opportunities to forge fruitful deals and partnerships, as well as to stay informed about the latest global developments in the hospitality, tourism, and travel technology sectors, enabling them to invest wisely and maintain leadership and competitiveness in the arena.”
