Bahrain : The Royal Team, represented by Jockey Raed Mahmoud, who is representing Victorious, has triumphed at the annual Hungarian International Equestrian Festival, held in Hungary under the patronage of the Hungarian President and featured wide participation.
The Royal Team continued to make history through their consistent achievements abroad, as Raed Mahmoud, representing Victorious, wrote a new success story by winning first place in the festival. Despite fierce competition, the Bahraini jockey managed to finish the race in first position, thus being crowned the champion of the festival.
He showcased exceptional performance in the festival, which included various equestrian competitions for amateurs, acrobatic shows on horseback, and speed races on a 300-meter track. Participants crossed the finish line after completing 4 and a half laps around the track, catering to different age groups.
Raid Mahmoud shone brightly from the initial qualifiers to the final round, which witnessed intense and thrilling competition.
Commenting on this victory, Raed Mahmoud expressed his utmost happiness in achieving first place in the championship, noting that this victory reflects the continuous support and follow-up from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, who is keen on providing full support to the team.
It’s worth noting that one jockey is selected from the qualified participants of each group to compete in the final day’s competitions, where Raed Mahmoud excelled and rightfully claimed the first-place position.
On the final day of the annual event, an international speed competition is organised, with invited countries being presented with horses to take part based on a draw conducted by the hosting country.
It is worth mentioning that Dr Khaled Ahmed Hassan, the manager of the Royal Team, spearheaded the Bahraini delegation at the festival.
