Manama : Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), announced the launch of the “Bahrain Real Estate Innovation Competition”, sponsored by Diyar Al Muharraq and Durrat Al Bahrain.
Launched in line with the first pillar of the National Real Estate Sector Plan 2021-2024 which stipulates leadership in innovation, the competition aims to discover promising national cadres and adopt new ideas to serve the real estate sector and contribute to finding innovative, sustainable solutions.
Commenting, RERA chief indicated that the competition, the first of its kind to be launched in Bahrain in partnership between the public and private sectors, focuses on leadership in innovation, as well as on the promotion of sustainable practices and technology in the real estate sector.
He added that the competition provides a valuable opportunity to embrace projects launched by local and international developers to empower youth in innovation and promote the use of technology in the sector, as well as turn challenges into successful projects that contribute to sustainable development.
Abdulhakim Al-Khayyat, Board of Directors Chairman of Diyar Al-Muharraq and Durrat Al-Bahrain, stated that the contest strengthens the partnership between the public and private sectors, and also enables national competencies to attain more achievements in the real estate sector. He called on the citizens who are interested in this real estate field to participate in this competition, which will contribute to transforming the participants’ ideas into successful creative projects in the future, hailing the initiatives launched by the RERA.
Applications for the competition will be open between October 1 and 28 through RERA’s official website, https://www.rera.gov.bh.
The nominated projects will be examined by a jury, and the first three winners will be announced during Cityscape Bahrain 2023.
