Arusha: MP Zainab Abdulameer Khalil participated in a meeting of the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security, as part of Bahrain’s Parliamentary Division delegation’s participation in the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in the United Republic of Tanzania.
The meeting featured a panel discussion on the role of parliaments in safeguarding peace in the age of military artificial intelligence, as well as a panel discussion on shaping a peaceful future through parliamentary diplomacy, mediation and dialogue for lasting peace.
The meeting also included an expert hearing on the subject of the committee’s next resolution, concerning enhancing maritime security and protecting critical infrastructure in times of conflict, and the role of parliaments in safeguarding international navigation and global economic stability.
