Manama : Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, visited the first Gadeha Junior training camp for young participants at the World Exhibition Bahrain, held under the directives of His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander.
The ministers reviewed the camp’s programmes, activities and practical experiences, which are designed to develop participants’ skills and capabilities while promoting discipline, teamwork and self-reliance.
Minister Al Sairafi described the camp as a distinctive national initiative that reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in young people and developing the capabilities of future generations. She noted that hosting the camp at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre highlights the venue’s advanced facilities and capacity to host diverse community, youth and entertainment events. She also expressed the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s pride in supporting the camp as a Gold Sponsor.
Minister Tawfiqi said the camp provides a distinctive model for programmes targeting young people through practical experiences and challenges that encourage them to discover their capabilities, develop decision-making skills and learn how to deal with different situations.
She stressed the importance of providing young people with diverse learning and practical experiences that enable them to develop their potential and creativity and prepare them to contribute positively and effectively to Bahrain’s development.
