Manama : As part of a community partnership aimed at supporting the families and children of fallen servicemen, the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen signed an agreement with the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), under which the university will provide one scholarship annually for three years.
The agreement, with a total value of approximately BHD 42,000, reflects the University’s commitment to its social responsibility and its dedication to enhancing its contribution to empowering the children and families of fallen servicemen to continue their educational journey and build their academic and professional future.
Shaikh Khalid bin Salman bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Director of the Administrative Office of the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen, expressed his sincere appreciation to the UTB for its support for the families and children of fallen servicemen.
He said the initiative embodies the strong sense of social responsibility demonstrated by educational institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and reflects their deep commitment to contributing to the care and empowerment of the children of fallen servicemen, both academically and professionally, to help secure a promising future worthy of their fathers’ sacrifices in service of the nation. He added that such initiatives represent a model of effective community partnership.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Ali Al Mulla, President of the UTB, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing comprehensive academic support and guidance to the children of fallen servicemen through its UTB Cares initiatives.
He stressed that the cooperation with the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen reflects the values of loyalty and belonging to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its wise leadership.
Dr. Al Mulla added that the initiative is a tribute to the role of the Kingdom’s security personnel and brave servicemen in defending the nation and safeguarding its security and stability. He affirmed that supporting the children of these national heroes is the least that can be offered in recognition of their sacrifices to protect the homeland and preserve its security.
