Brussels : Four people were killed, including two children, after a school minibus and a train collided in the Belgian town of Buggenhout.
Local authorities said the accident occurred at a level crossing near Buggenhout, around 30 kilometres north-west of Brussels, adding that details were not immediately clear.
They said five other children in the minibus were seriously injured and taken to hospital, but their condition is stable.
A spokesperson for the local prosecutor’s office said an investigation is under way into the cause of the accident.
Local media reported that the minibus was on its way to a special education school.
