Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defence of the Italian Republic.
The meeting discussed cooperation and joint work between the two countries and means to enhance collaboration in defence and security.
The two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East, their implications for regional and international security and stability, and their impact on maritime security, as well as Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and countries in the region.
The Italian minister reiterated his country’s condemnation of these attacks, noting that they constitute a violation of sovereignty and international law and undermine regional security and stability.
