Manama : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State.
Marco Rubio conveyed the US administration’s strong condemnation of the Iranian missile attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming the United States’ solidarity with Bahrain in the face of this unjustified aggression, which violated international law and the principles of good neighbourliness. He reiterated US support for the measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability, and highlighted the longstanding historic ties and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries. He also wished the Kingdom and its people continued security, stability and peace.
Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani expressed his appreciation to Marco Rubio for the call, commending the United States’ supportive stance following the Iranian missile attacks. He underscored the depth of the historic friendship between the two countries and the ongoing bilateral cooperation to maintain regional security and stability.
