Abu Dhabi : The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that its air defence systems intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles targeting its territory, resulting in one fatality and material damage due to falling debris, and confirmed full control over the security situation.
The ministry stated that debris falling in a residential area in Abu Dhabi led to the death of one person of Asian nationality and caused material damage.
The Ministry of Defence strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a serious escalation targeting civilian objects and violating national sovereignty and international law. It affirmed that the UAE reserves its full right to respond and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens and residents.
The ministry confirmed its full readiness to address any threats to the country’s security and stability and urged the public to obtain information from official sources and avoid spreading rumours.
