Manama : The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced a major closing celebration for the Celebrate Bahrain Season 2025, featuring large-scale fireworks and the biggest drone show ever staged in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The celebrations will begin at midnight on New Year’s Eve and will be held simultaneously at eight key locations across the country’s main tourist areas.
The displays will take place at The Avenues, Seef District, Bahrain Harbour, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, Marassi Bahrain, Bahrain Bay Beach, Bahrain World Trade Center, and the area between Shaikh Hamad Bridge and Shaikh Isa bin Salman Bridge in Manama. This geographic spread allows the public to watch the celebrations from multiple locations and panoramic viewpoints across different governorates.
This year, two locations have been added to the celebrations for the first time: Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay and Bahrain World Trade Center. In addition, the display area at The Avenues has expanded significantly, with the number of launch points increasing from three in previous years to nine this year, highlighting the ambition to deliver a celebration that meets international standards.
The drone show will feature 2,500 drones, including 1,100 pyrotechnic drones that will reach heights of up to 400 metres. Fireworks will reach heights of between 250 and 300 metres. The combined aerial display will last for 10 minutes and will illuminate the Kingdom’s skyline. The programme will also include advanced three-dimensional light projections on the façade of the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, adding an innovative visual element to the celebrations.
The event will conclude the fourth edition of the Celebrate Bahrain Season, which has, over recent months, presented a broad range of cultural, entertainment and artistic activities that attracted strong public attendance. This reflects the Kingdom’s success in organising high-quality events that appeal to local and regional audiences and strengthen Bahrain’s position on the regional and international tourism map.
With large crowds expected, the Authority urged the public to plan ahead, arrive early, comply with traffic and organisational instructions, use public transport where possible, and follow official channels for the latest updates to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all.
