Amman : Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, participated in the 45th session of the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the participation of Arab ministers responsible for social and development affairs, along with senior officials.
In his address, the minister highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts during its previous presidency of the council, focusing on support for initiatives and projects aimed at strengthening social protection systems, enabling beneficiary groups, and developing social programmes, in line with shared social development priorities and the objectives of joint Arab action. He noted that these efforts were guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to contributing to joint Arab social and development work and to supporting initiatives related to family protection, the care of older persons and persons with disabilities, and the development of social protection frameworks, in a manner that supports Arab societies and strengthens cooperation among Arab states.
The session also marked the handover of the presidency of the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council from the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
