Kuwait : His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, met with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, at Bayan Palace, as part of the HH the UAE President’s visit to Kuwait.
Both sides discussed the longstanding relations between the two countries, various aspects of cooperation and joint work, and the level of their progress, particularly in development and economic fields, in a way that serves their mutual interests and benefits both peoples.
The meeting addressed a number of regional and international issues, foremost among them the latest developments in the Middle East. The two leaders emphasised their countries’ support for all initiatives and efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and establishing a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, as it is the means to bring stability to the region in the interest of all its peoples and countries.
The agency stated that both sides stressed the need to build on the recent increase in international recognition of the State of Palestine to realise the aspirations of the Palestinian people for peace and stability.
The two leaders also discussed the path of joint Gulf action, highlighting their commitment to support all efforts that enhance the progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council and meet its peoples’ aspirations for development and prosperity.
HH the UAE President departed the State of Kuwait at the conclusion of the visit.
