Kuwait : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the 165th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council held in Kuwait City. The meeting was chaired by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait and chairman of the current session, with the attendance of foreign ministers from the GCC countries and Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC.
The meeting discussed the agenda items, including following up on the implementation of decisions by the GCC Supreme Council and the Ministerial Council, reviewing recommendations from ministerial and specialised committees on joint Gulf cooperation, and reports from the General Secretariat on enhancing cooperation in various domains.

The Ministerial Council also reviewed updates on negotiations for the GCC Free Trade Agreement with countries and international groups, as well as outcomes of joint meetings between the GCC and partner countries or blocs, all aimed at benefiting shared cooperation.
Regional developments and their impact on regional security and stability were addressed, including efforts to stop the war in Gaza, secure the release of hostages, and ease the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians without obstacles. Other issues related to maintaining regional security and stability were also discussed.
The meeting included the participation of Salah Ali Al Malki, Ambassador of Bahrain to Kuwait; Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director-General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mohamed Abdulrahman Al Haidan, Chief of the Legal Affairs Sector and Acting Chief of the GCC Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
