Manama, Nov. 14 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC) High Committee, attended the horse draw for participating jockeys at the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Trophy today.

His Highness noted that Bahrain’s horse-racing sector has experienced significant achievements, elevating the Kingdom’s status as a global destination for hosting international equestrian championships and events, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the exceptional capabilities of Bahrain’s national workforce, which have driven numerous sporting achievements and strengthened Bahrain’s ability to host international events. His Highness further emphasised that the Bahrain International Trophy has advanced the Kingdom’s reputation within international equestrian and horseracing circles.

The draw for the starting gate positions of the 12 horses resulted in the following line-up: Goeman, Lead Artist, Andromede, Yamanin Sympa, Point Lonsdale, Calif, Young Ireland, Nations Pride, Killer Ability, Alflaila, Spirit Dancer, and Sovereign Spirit.
In addition to the Bahrain International Trophy, seven other races will be held, featuring cups sponsored by various supporters of the Bahrain International Trophy, including: Bapco Energies, Beyon, Bahrain Economic Development Board, Grand Seiko – Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Ebrahim K. Kanoo -Lexus, and Gulf Air.
Horse racing enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the International Bahrain Trophy this Friday, which promises intense competition between international and local horses, represented by renowned stables and elite jockeys.
The event will showcase exciting races featuring horses with impressive ratings and victories in international competitions. Participants have intensified their training on the REHC track under the guidance of their international trainers, completing their final preparations to compete for the Bahrain International Trophy.
